BUILDING A MOBILISED ARMY

Of The Living God

WHO IS THE CHURCH THAT JESUS ESTABLISHED?

The modern day church that Jesus Christ established are the body of believers that carry the Spirit of God.
Church is not the dead building made with man's hands, but rather the coming together of the living tabernacle of God.

God is interested in building more people, not building more buildings.

The LORD gathers in the gathering of the saints not the place of gathering.

MILITARY STRUCTURE/RANKS

Soldiers are given ranks and authority in order to be an effective army of God.

WORLD MILITARY

FIGHTING A PHYSICAL BATTLE

RANKS

01.

GENERALS

This is the highest rank in the military and is typically reserved for the highest ranking officer in a country's armed forces. They hold significant leadership roles and are responsible for strategic planning, overall command, and the direction of large military operations. Generals often work in collaboration with other national leaders to develop military strategies and ensure the effective execution of their missions. They possess extensive experience, expertise and decision making authority.

RANKS

APOSTLES

The office of an Apostle is the highest ranking office in the fivefold ministry. Genuine, God-ordained (not man appointed) Apostles are responsible for strategic and visionary leadership and overall direction of the ministry of God. They analyse the spiritual landscape, discern the will of God and develop strategic plans to advance the Kingdom of God on earth. They equip and train believers, just as a general trains and prepares soldiers for warfare. They take charge against spiritual opposition and employ tactics to overthrow obstacles and further God's kingdom.  Like a general, an Apostle focuses on expanding territory and influence. In the likeness of a general deploying troops, the Apostle deploys and empowers individuals, positioning them strategically for maximum impact. Apostles invest in the training and discipleship of individuals, similar to a general's focus on developing skills and capabilities of soldiers. They identify, nurture and mentor emerging leaders, equipping them for ministry and empowering them to fulfill their calling.

02.

COLONELS/MAJORS

Colonels and majors are senior officers who hold command positions in the military. They are responsible for managing units or specific departments within the armed forces. Colonels typically oversee larger units, such as regiments and brigades, while majors may lead smaller units or serve as executive officers for higher-ranking officers. They play a crucial role in implementing tactical plans, maintaining discipline and ensuring the readiness of their units.

02.

PROPHETS

Just as colonels/majors hold command positions within the military, prophets operate with authority and influence within the realm of spirit. They are recognised as spiritual leaders and possess the ability to deliver divine revelations, messages and guidance from God. They provide strategic leadership within the spiritual realm, and bring forth insights, visions and direction from God to guide believers/communities/nations towards fulfilling their spiritual purpose and destiny in God. Just like colonels/majors who are involved in executing tactical plans and operations to ensure effective implementation of military strategies, prophets provide specific instructions, spiritual counsel or prophetic warning/direction to bring the best attack over forces of darkness and maximise the success of every battle. Prophets also provide encouragement, exhortation to believers, caring for their overall spiritual growth and wellbeing. They may impart wisdom, provide insights on prophetic protocols and help believers develop their spiritual discernment.

03.

LIEUTENANTS/CAPTAINS

Lieutenants and captains are middle-ranking officers in the military. Lieutenants often serve as platoon leaders, leading a small group of soldiers in specific operations/tasks. Captains hold higher leadership positions, such as company commanders, overseeing larger groups of soldiers. They coordinate missions, provide guidance to subordinates and facilitate communication between higher-ranking officers and established personnel.

03.

EVANGELISTS

Just as lieutenants and captains hold leadership positions in the military, responsible for overseeing a group of soldiers, evangelists bring leadership to the body of Christ within the realm of evangelism by providing guidance, direction and motivation to believers engaged in sharing their faith/preaching the gospel. Just as lieutenants/captains are involved in field operations and leading troops in specific missions/tasks, evangelists actively engage in fieldwork, bringing the gospel to the lost and organising/participating in events such as out reach involvement and mission trips to bring as many lost souls into the kingdom as possible. Lieutenants/captains participate in developing strategies and tactics for military operations, considering factors such as terrain, enemy forces and available resources. Likewise, evangelists contribute to the development of effective strategies such as discerning the needs of the area, hearing from the Spirit about what is needed for each specific person and teaching others how to be lead by the Spirit/

04.

SERGEANTS

Sergeants are non-commissioned officers who play a vital role in the military. They provide leadership, training and supervision to enlisted personnel. Sergeants often serve as squad leaders, responsible for a group of soldiers and ensuring their readiness for combat. They enforce discipline, mentor subordinates and play a crucial role in maintaining unit cohesion and morale.

04.

PASTORS

Like sergeants, pastors provide guidance, support and spiritual oversight over the flock in their care. Both sergeants and pastors are responsible for leading and guiding individuals, ensuring their wellbeing and growth. Sergeants often take on the role of caretakers, ensuring well-being, discipline and morale of their subordinates. Similarly, pastors function as spiritual shepherds, caring for the spiritual, emotional and relational needs of the congregation. They provide pastoral care to support individuals within their church community.  Sergeants play a significant role in training and developing enlisted personnel, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to fulfil their duties as well as promoting teamwork/unity. Likewise, pastors engage in the practical training of believers through teaching, preaching and offering spiritual instruction to help believers grow in their faith, understanding of scripture and application of Bible principles. They encourage teamwork and have a focus on building a strong sense of community and unity among the congregation, promoting fellowship and mutual support.

05.

CORPORALS

Corporals are lower ranking non-commissioned officers who assist in the supervision and training of enlisted personnel. They typically serve as team leaders or small unit leaders, responsible for a small group of soldiers. Corporals are tasked with implementing orders, enforcing standards, and supporting the sergeant in maintaining discipline and unit effectiveness. They serve as a bridge between enlisted soldiers and high ranking non-commissioned soldiers.

05.

TEACHERS

Corporals, as non-commissioned officers, are involved in instructing and training enlisted personnel in military skills. Likewise, teachers within the fivefold ministry focus on instructing and training believers in the principles, doctrines and teachings of the faith. They have a gift of effectively communicating biblical truths and helping others deepen their understanding of God's Word. Corporals help soldiers understand and apply military regulations and procedures. Similarly, teachers help believers understand and apply the principles and truths found in Scripture. They have a gift for breaking down complex concepts, providing clarity and helping others apply biblical principles to their daily lives. Corporals play a role in the spiritual formation of their subordinates, fostering discipline, character development and a sense of responsibility. Likewise, teachers contribute to spiritual formation of believers such as helping to cultivate spiritual disciplines, character growth and a deeper relationship with God through their teaching and guidance. Like corporals, they also provide accountability to those whom they teach and provide feedback on their progress.

WE ARE SOLDIERS

TO WAR

BEING ENTANGLED WITH THE AFFAIRS OF THIS LIFE DISPLEASES GOD

In order to be an effective soldier for God we must be single-minded, fully consecrated, whole hearted and undivided in our service to the Great Commander. A soldier who entangles himself by weaving carnality into the affections of their heart will struggle in their obedience.

WEAPONS OF WARFARE

"[3] For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: [4] For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; [5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"

II CORINTHIANS 10: 3-5
